About Us

Elements Academy is a new special school in Rotherham meeting the needs of students in KS2-KS4 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) is identified as the primary need.

Elements Academy is a learning community that is safe, nurturing, respectful and aspirational. We provide a curriculum that empowers students to gain the skills, knowledge and resilience needed to be happy, fulfilled and successful individuals. We know that our students have barriers to overcome; however, we are unwavering in our commitment to supporting students to develop the skills to overcome them. We place equal value upon both academic and personal development at Elements Academy and students will be supported to fulfil their academic potential whilst developing the long-term confidence and skills required to succeed in post-16 education, employment or training. 

At the heart of our approach is the 6 principles of Nurture, focusing upon wellbeing and relationships and a drive to support the individual growth and development of all students. Elements Academy is a learning community and we welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with parents, other agencies and the wider community.
